Robyn D. Weisman, Esq., earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology and her law degree
from Albany Law School at Union University. She is an experienced divorce mediator and director of Divorce Mediation
& Family Services of New York, Ltd. Ms. Weisman is an appointed Consultant Mediator for the Nassau County Family
Court handling custody & visitation cases, support cases and permanency placement cases. Robyn has also handled
numerous litigated divorce cases, and actively handles uncontested divorces and is trained in Collaborative Law.
Robyn Weisman is also an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and a Master Arbitrator with the New York
State Insurance Department. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, New York State
Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, The Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater
New York, Collaborative Professionals of New York and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
She is the author of "Keeping a Healthy Family Following Divorce".
Peter Jurmann is the founder of Bi-County Mediation Center. Peter is a member of the Association
for Conflict Resolution, Family Section. He is a trained family therapist, and a licensed clinical social worker who
is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers. He has been working with families resolving issues
related to divorce.
The directors are committed to helping couples through their separation and divorce in the most healthy and amicable
way possible including helping parents recognize and avoid the negative emotional effect of divorce on children.
